Potter's Resort review (PR trip)

We were recently invited to Potter's Resort, Norfolk to see what we thought of it. Potter's Resort is the UK's first and only all inclusive short break resort so we were very excited to try it out. They are adult only breaks until the school holidays and they are open for the perfect family break. We do love an all inclusive stay - as a family of 5, food and drinks can rack up when you're away and having fun and so to have it all included is a bonus for us to know it's all paid for up front and there are no extra hidden costs.

Location

Potter's resort is located in Hopton-on-sea which is right by the coast. It is a bigger resort than I thought and has everything you need in one spot - wether you want an activity based break or a more relaxing break.

Accommodation

We checked in and headed to our accommodation - we had 2 interconnecting premiere hotel rooms which you can pay an extra cost to upgrade to if you wish. We had this option because we are a family of 5 but the standard accommodation included are the brick built bungalows which look lovely as well.

The rooms were extremely clean and we had so much room - they are the biggest hotel rooms we have ever had and we loved the addition of the 2 sinks in each bathroom - it made getting ready in the evening with 4 females a lot less stressful. We had everything we needed from little toiletries in the bathrooms to an iron and ironing board, extra pillows and tea and coffee facilities as well as a mini fridge. All rooms also come with a terrace or balcony which is a fab little extra as well.

The activities

Potter's Resort is an activity based break but all the activities are included in the price - you also don't need to book for many of them, you just turn up and queue for go straight in. In our 3 night weekend break we managed to do bracelet making, swimming (3 times), segways, adventure golf, hook the bull, ping pong, a few quizzes, the kids mini disco, 2 theatre shows, rock climbing, soft play and bungee trampolines. All of these were included in the price. On our last morning, we did check out the arcade area which was coin operated so we did bowling and had some fun on the 2p arcade machines. Bowling was £4 per person so not bad for an extra cost.

The food

The quality of the food for an inclusive was incredible - so much better than we expected and that we have experienced before. What I liked about Potter's was that the 3 course set menu was also included in the all inclusive along with the branded drinks, milkshakes, coffees and alcohol. They ddi also have buffet food if you didn't fancy the set menu.

The evening entertainment

The evening entertainment was the highlight for me - the quality of the shows were incredible for an all inclusive resort. The singers, dancers and actors are extremely talented and watching them just finished every evening off perfectly for me. The 'simply the best' show was insane and I loved the Disney performances - so did the girls!! The kids also loved the kids disco - the staff were so lovely with them and the little goodie bag they got at check in was a nice touch too.

The coast

There is a little private section of the beach you can go down too which has a little walkway and it was nice to explore. On the way there, there is also a massive field/green area with football goals so you can take a football or play catch. There is also a little children's play area which is always good to know and there is a pitch and putt golf course separate from the adventure golf.

Overall, we absolutely loved our time at Potter's and would happily pay ourselves to go back. We are thinking of Christmas as I can only imagine seeing the Christmas shows and how amazing they would be! You can find out more details and see more in my video review below.
