When I mentioned wedding favours to Warren, he had no idea what they were and when I explained they were just a little 'thank you for coming' token, he thought it was a waste of money! In his head, we are already saying thank you by paying for their food all day so why do they need an extra gift which will be more expense to us.
I do kind of see his point but I personally feel like you have to have favours and they help make the table look a little bit prettier don't they?!
I originally wanted to do something a little bit different from the usual sweets in a jar or bag however we are trying to keep the costs down a bit more now due to baby #2 being on the way so I think we are going to go down that route now. I have been looking around online and I think the easiest and cheapest way to do wedding favours is to use the little organza bags. I actually already have a lot of small white ones from Amazon left over from having my craft business so I have dug those out!
In terms of the sweet, I have been looking online and A Quarter Of popped up. They have over 600+ retro sweets which is great as we are big sweet lovers and love most of the classics! I'm unsure wether to go with one of our favourite sweets so it kind of symbolises us both or wether to go with a sweet that matches our colour theme. I know love hearts seem to be popular as the love theme goes well with weddings but I actually don't like them so I'm not keen on using those!
One of our favourites is the haribo giant strawberries so we might go with something like that but I don't want to give too much away ;)
What favours did you have?
