Just because we’re coming into autumn, doesn’t mean the sunglasses need to be put away. Yes Christmas is getting closer and the days are getting darker and yes I’m so excited for the holiday season, but I’m just not quite ready to let the summer go just yet either.
So, to protect your eyes during those bright autumn days and strong autumnal sunsets, you’ll need some stylish eyewear. I’m a big believer in sunglasses really finishing off an outfit. They’re not just for paring with a bikini, oh no. In my books sunglasses can set off an outfit.
Here are sunglasses/trend combos:
According to Vogue, this season we must throw away our neons and any sports inspired fashion (except those items you actually use for exercise). Now, most of us don’t care too much about always being on trend, so I won’t be throwing away any staple neon pieces. But Vogue also says that in place of these neon, sporty clothes, we’ll start seeing pretty, elegant floral patterns instead. This I’m excited for.
So, with that in mind, choose your most fabulous floral outfit and pair it with this flowery pair from Truth in a lovely autumnal wine colour. At £30 too, it means you don’t have to spend a fortune to look great.
Floral is great, but sometimes you do want to let your hair down and look to the 80s discos style for a bit of eccentric and fun fashion. Well, at least this is what those fashion experts are saying. Personally I’m not against the idea. I’m thinking a metallic skirt, high heel and fab sunglasses, then just throw on a leather jacket and you’re all set.
You’ll struggle to find a cooler sunglasses brand than RayBan in my opinion. And this ultra-cool purple pair of prescription sunglasses is no exception. They’re just what the fashion doctor ordered too with a definite 80s disco feel.
My final look is all about elegance and geometric shapes, maybe not for your clothing but certainly for your accessories. To perfect this style I would keep a look out for big, geometric shape, statement necklaces in plain silver, with a few smaller triangle rings again, in silver. And of course a simple but stylish pair of sunglasses.
This Kangol pair is so simple in design, but they’re gorgeous and completely different from some of the other styles on the high street. In burgundy, they’re the perfect pair for your autumn wardrobe.
I can’t wait to start rocking the autumn wardrobe with sunglasses in hand of course, because who says sunglasses are just for summer!
