The danger of store cards

We all know money can be dangerous, especially in the way of having credit or store cards. They may seem like a good idea at the time, but there are also dangers to be aware of.

Some store cards carry the APR rates that are double the cost of a regular credit card so you need to check before you sign up. They can also encourage big spending with the promise of some kind of reward if you spend a certain amount and this can sometimes just spiral out of control. Many people also forget because it isn't 'money' that they do still have to pay it off.. then they struggle to pay off the balance when it is due which again signals trouble. If you do struggle to pay it off, this can effect your credit check as well meaning you are less likely to be able to borrow more money and you would have to look at credit catalogues.

If you do have one of these store cards, particularly one with a high interest rate and you find yourself in debt, you may want to consider transferring your balance to a 0% interest balance rate credit card. This will allow you to pay off the debt quicker and easier with less worries about money.
