How to fight fraud

*PR collaboration with NatWest

Fraud is something that can happen to any of us if we’re not careful, so it’s important for us to understand what tactics fraudsters are using these days to try and catch us out.

Using data compiled by the Financial Fraud Authority, the How to Fight Fraud tool takes a look at the 11 most common types of fraud that cost us Brits millions each year and provides information on how you can help prevent it from happening to you.

Over the years, online shopping has increased in popularity and it’s therefore no surprise that online shopping fraud comes top of the list. Where some tips on how to protect yourself online may seem obvious, it’s good to be reminded as it could be the difference between you making your purchases safely or falling victim to a scam.

The tool shares details on what the different types of fraud entail from the more self-explanatory counterfeit card and cheque fraud, to explaining what phishing, card trapping and application fraud really are. You can click to discover lots of different tips and tricks to keep yourself protected.

So to stay in the know and make things just that little bit harder for those fraudsters, take a look at the tool and have a play around.
