We have spoke about wedding locations a bit as I guess that is one of the most important decisions but what a surprise, we can't decide on anything! This is where our opposite personalities sometimes clash!
I thought I'd share the ideas we have had so maybe you can give some input or advice if you have had your wedding or been to weddings in these places. Any pros and cons are welcome!
Las Vegas
Warren has always wanted to go to Vegas and says what better excuse is there than to go and get married. He found the Chapel of flowers and that does look like a nice venue and you can book the whole package so it seems easy. I do agree with him to an extent and sometimes I think it's a cool idea but then I go off it again. It is a cool idea if you don't have anyone else to worry about, but I worry that our families wouldn't be able to come. I know we can just do the legal bit over there and have a big party/celebration when we're back but I just feel it isn't the same. My Dad wouldn't be able to walk me down the aisle and our Mum's wouldn't be able to see us actually get married. I don't know if I could live with that!
Australia
Having said all of that above, when I see beach weddings I do think they look so beautiful! I'd only do a beach wedding abroad so that hopefully you can guarantee good weather and not have to have a plan B incase the weather is rubbish on the day! I have always wanted to go to Australia, particularly Melbourne as I hear so much about it and it looks a gorgeous place to get married. Hobba is a brilliant small wedding venue in Melbourne that would be perfect for a super cool, urban wedding.
Bruton
Last but not least is just our 'home town'. We both grew up in Bruton, this is the church we were both christened at and the church we both spent many days in singing hymns with school. It's only 10 minutes from where we live now and would be local for everyone. The only thing is there isn't many nice venues around for the reception, meaning we'd probably have to get everyone to a venue at least 30 minutes away which will be a lot of travelling and transport to sort out. We'd probably go for a barn venue such as Heaton House Farm.
