After trying out the Babyzen YoYo stroller, I was keen to try more and even more determined to find the perfect stroller. Kiddicare currently have a brilliant sale on, there is up to £100 off many pushchairs, buggies and strollers & the Petite Star Zia Stroller is one of them. The Zia is described as a 3 wheeler that is lightweight, compact, stylish and functional, it sounded much like the Babyzen YoYo so I was intrigued to compare the 2. We chose it in the 'lime' choice as it is more gender neutral and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't as bright as it looked online. I love the design, the fact it's a 3 wheeler as well as the green and grey colour scheme. It definitely ticks the stylish box for us!
As well as being stylish it is most definitely compact and lightweight. From memory, I think this is even lighter than the Babyzen YoYo to carry and just as easy to put up and down so it ticks that box too. It doesn't come with the carry bag but I don't think I would use it much so that isn't really a problem for us.
It has good sized, deep basket on the bottom that is easily accessible. This is one of the things that the YoYo didn't have and something that let it down in my opinion so the Zia is much better in regards to this!
It has the 5 point harness which is something I look for in any pushchair, stroller or car seat, I just find it much safer. It also has the multiple seat recline including a lie flat position so can be used from birth. As well as this it also has adjustable handle heights which is once again, another plus point!
The accessory pack consisted of the parasol and seat liner. We've never used a seat liner in our pushchair before but it is much more convenient to take out and wash when little fingers get it all messy, I need one for our carseat now too! I love the addition of it. The parasol is brilliant if the sun is out, suitable all year round as long as it is not too windy or raining! This will get a lot of use in the upcoming months as Sienna isn't a fan of the sun, I love how the parasol is adjustable as well so you can position it perfectly to cover and protect your baby.
The rain cover is included with the stroller also and is the best fitting rain cover I have used to date, it comes right down around the front and secures just above the front wheel so the baby is fully concealed from the horrendous weather we get!
With the accessory pack, I do think this is more for the Spring/Summer than the winter but you could always get a footmuff for the colder months. I'm not sure I would use this for a newborn either as I feel it is quite open at the front and I prefer them to be more enclosed if you know what I mean. But saying that, if this was the only stroller we had it would do the job perfectly and they would be more than safe and warm, it's just my personal opinion.
This whole set* is currently only £99.98 on Kiddicare which I think is an absolute steal! The full range of strollers on Kiddicare can be viewed here. I am more than happy with this stroller and would be extremely happy if we had paid that for it ourselves. I can't think of a bad point to say about it! If you had your eye on the Babyzen YoYo, I'd actually whole heartedly recommend this one instead, it definitely has more plus points.
Have you tried any of the Petite Star strollers? How does this sound to you?
*We were sent this stroller free of charge but all thoughts and opinions are 100% genuine and honest. I truly love it!
