Breakfast banana oatcake!

I saw this recipe on Katie's blog and i had to try it out! I love anything along the lines of banana cake and to have at breakfast? Definitely a winner!

The 'original' recipe is from Elise, but i had to make a few changes to work with what i had in my cupboards.

Ingredients; Salt, soft brown sugar/sweetener, oats, oat milk, baking powder and bananas. You can also add vanilla extract and raisins/any dried fruit you like!

The recipe i used;
-1/2 cup oats,
-2 small very ripe bananas,
-1tsp baking powder,
-1/4 cup oat milk,
-1/2 cup hot water,
-pinch of salt,
-tsp soft brown sugar.

Mix and mash everything together and pour into a over proof bowl.

I baked mine at 250 degrees for about 20 minutes, and i probably over cooked it a little bit!

But it was still edible and so yummy! I would have next time liked to add raisins and maybe swap the ratios of milk to water, to make it a little more creamy, so bear that in mind if you want to try this out! I topped mine with melted peanut butter sauce! (Peanut butter, water and then nuke it in the microwave until it's melted!)

Yummy! A nice treat for a different breakfast :)

What treat do you like to have for breakfast?

PS. i've added my recipes & meal ideas to my workout log page, here!
