I'm always on hunt for a good conditioner.
One that makes my hair feel soft and silky and gives it a nice shine. I often feel that really nourishing, deep conditioners are way too heavy for my liking and leave my hair with a greasy film on them. However, i think i have found my favourite conditioner! And it's from the supermarket, not a high end brand.
Timotei's deep brunette conditioner initially drew me in purely by the packaging. I love the two toned colours and the noticed the layout on the front has changed. After reading the ingredients, i decided i needed to give this a try.
It has Skin neutral PH which is great if you have sensitive skin! The most exciting ingredients are the Henna leaf extract and Argon Oil. These two ingredients are notorious for healthy hair. Henna helps make the hair strong, thicker and silkier and also helps enhance the rich colours of your hair. My hair is brown with a lot of red in and the Henna is said to help bing those red tones out.
Argon oil is derived from the crushed fruit and nuts of the Argon Tree in Morocco and has many benefits.
"The oil is high in unsaturated fatty acids and rich in Omega 9 - shown to be helpful at improving hair strength and health. Suprisingly, Argon oil is
non-greasy and non-oily and has become popular as a hair treatment to repair and heal damaged hair. Many believe it is excellent for locking in moisture and improving shine and luster." Source.
I tried this for the first time yesterday and i am already in love with it! It definitely did everything it claims and my hair feels amazing, i can't stop
touching it! It's so shiny and silky but without an ounce of grease. It just feels like new nourished hair! It's also more 'sleek' and less frizzy than usual, meaning i don't need to straighten it so much.
This picture really shows the red tones in my hair, there's not much difference in the colour vibrancy, but it's only been a day.
What's your experience of Henna or Argon oil?

ReplyDeleteOh you breaking stuff too, lol! Must be something in the air for sure! xoxo
I use a Morracan argan oil on my hair on occassion and it really makes a huge difference without the "oily" feel or look. I've never tried it in a shampoo or conditioner though. Your hair looks great! Isn't it funny how we judge beauty products on their packaging? I know I do it all the time!
